Volunteer Opportunities 

Do you like meeting new folks and changing lives?  Then we have an opportunity for you!  
Deliver food and home goods, help kids with school-readiness and encourage adults with 
employment and integration support.  Our volunteer coordinator will work with you to find the 
right fit for your interests.  Join us!
 

Physical Donations Volunteer

  • Description: Assisting with the intake, sorting, and packaging of donations to be delivered to families.
  • Where: US Storage Facility 6346 Nolensville Rd, 37211
  • When: First and third weekends of each month, Saturday and Sunday. 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Furniture Delivery Volunteer

  • Description: Transporting furniture items to refugee homes.
  • Where: US Storage Facility 6346 Nolensville Rd, 37211; or Donor home to Afghan homes around Nashville Metro area
  • When: First and third weekends of each month, Saturday and Sunday. 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • How much time is needed: 2-3 hours
  • Abilities needed: Truck or trailer for hauling furniture, ability to lift heavy furniture items

Support and Donation Volunteer Signup Form

Food Delivery Volunteer

  • Description: Meet at The Branch, load food in personal car, and drive to a list of locations to deliver food to Afghan homes
  • Where The Branch of Nashville and various Afghan community locations in the Nashville Metro area
  • When: Every Saturday morning
  • How much time is needed: 2-3 hours
  • Abilities needed: Car with space to carry boxes, ability for one person in the group to lift heavy delivery boxes

Other Volunteer Needs

We are always in need of flexible and resourceful volunteers to help with personal refugee support. This could be transportation to the grocery store or to an appointment or help to fill out a document in English. If you would like to give your time to encourage individuals, please contact us at
